Bodie Island Lighthouse - Outer Banks of North Carolina.

This marsh holds special significance in my research journey, as it was here that I discovered a thriving population of Hyla cinerea, even though salinities far exceeded what was previously considered possible for frogs to inhabit. This pivotal discovery sparked my research trajectory, driving me to explore how and why some populations can evolve to thrive in seemingly inhospitable environments. I am deeply grateful to this place, the frogs that live here, and to the people who encouraged my curiosity along the way. - Molly
